Speed / Pulse
The Ninja 1100 has 3 speeds and a pulse button. The buttons are large – easy to use and easy to clean.
Speed 1 is for making various types of dough - such as pizza dough, cookie dough, and pretzel dough.
Speed 2 is for blending smoothies and various fruit and vegetable blends.
Speed 3 is for crushing ice and making frozen drinks.

Blade
The blade of the Ninja blender 1100 is stainless steel. There is a 6 blade assembly for the 72 oz. container. There is a 4 blade assembly for the 40 oz bowl.
The blade is designed for great ice crushing, blending, pureeing, chopping and controlled processing.
The blades are extremely sharp and need to be handled with caution. This is great for chopping food, but use caution when handling – you don’t want to cut your fingers!

Cons:
This is not technically a juicer because it does leave the pulp in
Some do not like the design of the jar – because it is square, some food can get stuck in corners
The lids are not interchangeable
Some people find they have trouble blending greens and other items smooth enough. The key is to add enough liquid – you need to do this with the more expensive blenders as well. To make a great, green smoothie – blend the greens with water first and then add the other ingredients to blend them in.
